​What is the Owen Brown Interfaith Center in Columbia?

The facility is also available for rent to private individuals and organizations for various events, including: meetings, memorials, worship services, ceremonies, seminars, banquets, conferences, classes, weddings, receptions and bar/bat mitzvahs.

  

Where is OBIC located?

The Owen Brown Interfaith Center is located in Columbia, MD, and is centrally located between Baltimore, Washington, Annapolis, and Frederick. The facility is easily reached via I-95/Rte 29/Rte 32/Rte 70 corridors. For directions, please visit our "Contact" page.

 

Why Choose OBIC?

OBIC has a warm and inviting atmosphere. We setup the following, free of charge: tables, chairs, a podium, one microphone, a screen, TV, VCR and DVD player. OBIC offers free Wi-Fi access. For an nominal fee you can rent an LCD projector, a piano, a small stage and a Bluetooth outdoor speaker.

 

OBIC is an ideal event location. The building boasts a unique wood-lined lobby with a dramatic stained-glass wall as its focus. Our catering kitchen includes a commercial refrigerator, freezer, dishwasher, icemaker, microwave and a warming oven — perfect for catered events. The landscaping is one that can be enjoyed year round too. It is home to many native plants and flowers. The garden area is a perfect place to hold a social gathering or intimate wedding. Parking is free.

When is OBIC open?

Our venue schedules events anytime between 9:00 am - 11:00 pm, seven days a week, with the following exceptions:

• New Year's Day (or the 1st week day after)

• Easter Monday

• Memorial Day

• Independence day (or the 1st week day after)

• Labor Day

• Thanksgiving Day, and the Friday after

• Christmas Day, and the 1st week day after
